With enthusiasm and excitement in her voice, President of NEHS and senior Carson Francis calls the meeting to order and goes over the topics of the day. “So in NEHS, I organize the meetings and help organize committees as well or encourage the students and members in the club to take part in these volunteering opportunities in committees off campus or on campus,” Francis said. “We help promote English, writing, reading and everything related to that, again, both on and off campus. So students have a raised awareness for these kinds of things and learn a lot through the club as well.”

While waiting for his groups powerpoint to load, freshman Matthew Mucci grins at one of the silly comments hsi peers in the audience said. “Well at one point when you get up there to present, it’s a little nerve-wrecking,” Mucci said. “But once you start talking, it just starts flowing, and once you get the hang of it, you just feel more comfortable… My group and I were presenting four different types of engineering. The one I did was automotive engineering and we were talking about what they do, how much money they make, and a ton of other fun facts. It was definitely interesting working with my group. I’ve never worked with any of them before, so it was a new experience and I got to know my peers a lot better.”

As the agriculture class ferret, OG, snuggles in junior Maddie Leakes’ arms, she holds the furry animal close to her chest as she gently rocks him back and forth with care. “The ferret is definitely my favorite animal in the class,” Leake said. “He’s so energetic and so fun to play with. Really just being around all these animals warms my heart and encourages me to continue my pursuit of becoming a vet one day.”

While testing out a look-alike dummy rocket-launcher, sophomore and ROTC Color Guard Commander Richie Pepe got to try out and learn about a lot of the equipment used in the military. My favorite part of the Military Expo this year would probably be the National Guard. They had a lot of awesome things like the anti-air truck and the dummy rocket launcher, Richie said. Out of all the things I saw at the expo, the thing that interested me the most would be the National Guard. I think its really cool that you can enlist and get the same training as you would if you were to join the army, but only have to go to the nearest base once a month for drilling and training, all while getting paid for it.

Staff manager, Camille Taylor, is seen handing out the golden rings to the rest of the yearbook staff as they each recite their vows. “My favorite part about the wedding was probably the ceremony because everyone actually gets rings after they finish verbalizing their vow,” junior Camille Taylor said. “Everyone puts their own twist on their vows based on their personality, whether they make it funny, more heartfelt, or somewhere in between. Its just a really creative way of acknowledging the importance of the book, which is why we marry it. I mean, marriage is a pretty big commitment. Plus it lets the staffers celebrate all the hard work theyve done so far.”

We have a lot of talented dancers this year that help us come up with a lot of different moves that are recent and that people love. Usually when we go out to any performance everybody loves us and we hype them up, senior and Titan Dance captain, Madelyn Pichardo, said.

From recipes to food-related illnesses, culinary students engage with one another while completing textbook work. Im learning a lot in here and this [Culinary Arts] is something I would like to pursue, sophomore Brooke Whitton said. This has all stuck-out to me because its something that I enjoy doing... its entertaining and interesting for me.

Students come together to participate in the annual homecoming parade. I think this experience really brought our sophomore class together and we all got to sing old songs and we had a good time, sophomore Mackenzie Spiroff, said.
